CO2 Laser is designed for resurfacing treatments to achieve smoother texture, a more even, youthful tone, and dramatic reduction in the appearance of wrinkles. CO2 Laser’s skin resurfacing ability provides the skin revitalization and resurfacing technology you need to maximize your spa or practice.
CO2 laser is ideal for those who want to see results after just one treatment. Anyone who has sun damage, aging skin, unwanted pigmentation, wrinkles, sagging, uneven skin texture, or acne scarring could expect to see improvement in their conditions after a CO2 laser treatment.
CO2 Laser Resurfacing is a single treatment that lasts about an hour. It is minimally invasive, low risk, and we recommend both oral and topical medications for comfort. For many patients, downtime is usually minimal, and the treatment is customized to address the face, neck, and décolletage-specific issues. The CO2 laser can also treat the back of hands and arms to reduce sun damage.
CO2 laser’s interchangeable handpieces allow technicians to fully customize a client’s treatment. Use the surgical handpieces for a true, continuous wave with efficient skin coagulation after the surgical cut. Use the scan handpieces for skin resurfacing, from superficial to deep skin treatments, including several options and combinations tailored for your clients’ needs. Use the gynecological handpiece for gynecology applications, enabling you to broaden your treatment offering.
The energy is applied to the skin in the form of a matrix creating microscopic columns in the skin surrounded by healthy tissue.
Depending on the treatment indication, the beam penetrates specific depths of the skin’s surface while preserving the surrounding tissue.
The surrounding healthy skin works to produce new healthy skin cells and collagen are to give the skin a younger rejuvenated appearance.
Because treatment can be customized, treatments can be deeper, with more healing and downtime, or shallower, with less healing time. The deeper the treatment, the better the results generally. But some patients prefer two treatments that aren’t as deep so they can avoid a lot of downtime.
Some immediate results will be noticeable, but the full results should be seen after 3-6 months.
After the skin heals, which may take up to 3-14 days, there will be a period of 4 to 6 weeks after that when the skin might be slightly pink. During this period, skin will feel smoother and looks less blotchy. As the color returns to normal, there will see fewer lines, less blotchiness, and more glow.
This is not the most optimal treatment option for those with darker skin, because the CO2 laser is an aggressive treatment that does result in prolonged healing of the surface. Pigmented skin tends to heal with hyperpigmentation and can occur with this procedure about of 30% of the time. It can take many months of topical treatments and sometimes additional laser treatments to correct this. If this treatment is to be undertaken on darker skin, it will need to be part of a series of gentler treatments and not a single treatment.
People with hypersensitivity to visible light and infrared. People taking photosensitive or anticoagulant medication, those who have used Accutane within the past six months. People with seizure disorders triggered by light should abstain from CO2 laser.
In addition to clients who are pregnant, those who have history of skin cancer or exhibit suspicious lesions, or those who have a history of immune disorders or healing problems should also refrain from CO2 laser treatments.
The number of CO2 Laser Resurfacing treatments needed is based on the individual’s skin and their aesthetic goals. Some may require as little as 1 treatment to achieve their desired results, for others it may take several like 3 to 6 treatments to achieve their goals.
It is arguably the most versatile and useful of all skin rejuvenating lasers. The laser bypasses the top layer of the skin (epidermis) and targets the deeper layer (dermis) to stimulate the skin’s natural healing abilities. The CO2 laser is the gold standard in skin resurfacing and is more predictable and effective in removing deeper wrinkles, repairing acne scars and improve overall skin tone and texture.

CO2 Laser Therapy system is a precise medical instrument, which can only be used in medical application. The system has gone through strict safety test. CO2 Laser Therapy system belongs to Class 4 laser product.
The CO2 laser’s wavelength is 10600nm, which mainly used for gasifying the skin tissue, the principle is based on the theory selective photothermolysis. Water in the skin is the mainly target of the CO2 fractional laser, after absorbed the energy of the laser, water will release heat, evaporate, and gasify immediately. Naturally, the cutaneous lesion will be eliminated flashily.
The theory of selective photothermy and decomposition is the extent of traditional photothermy. Integrating the merits of both invasive and non-invasive treatment, the CO2 fractional laser device has fast and clear curative effects, minor side effects, and short recovery time. The treatment with CO2 laser refers to acting on the skin with micro-holes; three areas including thermal desquamation, thermal coagulation, and thermal effects are formed. A series of biochemical reactions will occur to skin and stimulate the skin in self-healing. Skin firming, tendering and colored spot removal effect can be achieved. Since the fractional laser treatment only covers part of skin tissues and new micro-holes will not be overlapped. Thus, part of normal skin will be reserved, which quickens recovery.
